Belle Channing Robbins...

How? How did we get so lucky to have 2 precious, healthy, wonderful and sweet little girls in our home! On November 15th at 4:36 am we welcomed our sweet second born to our family. Belle Channing Robbins. The name has no family significance except that it now belongs to the most sweet baby girl. Belle came perfectly and although it was in the wee hours of the morning (or night, depending on how you look at it) we were so thankful!

She is 2 weeks old now...and she is just so laid back. She might have a bit of reflux, not the colic baby kind, just the grunts for hours kind but other than that she is perfect. She is gaining weight and is sleeping really well...knock on wood. (Would love prayer that the reflux goes away and doesn't worsen to make her fussy or irritated where it's painful. As of now it's not painful for her).

Lulu and Belle are just the cutest...when we can actually get Lulu to realize she is there. Lulu has started kissing her head and it's priceless! But then again she also can poke and climb over her too. It's a learning process, right? Our house is sometimes crazy with diapers and wipes of all sizes everywhere, extra onesies on hand, pacifiers laying around, and toys thrown about...and to be honest I wouldn't have it any other way! I was nervous about going to 2 kiddos but so far (again, it's only been 2 weeks) it's been so great. My ministry and my heart is this home. I just am so thankful for my husband and the provision to stay at home and these 2 crazy gals...I'm crying now. Obviously my hormones are probably still a bit out of whack! I'm such a sap!

Memories from the Nest:
* Shay and I and the way we are growing at husband and wife and parents as we bring #2 into our world. It's like a strategic deal from about 5:30 - 7:00 pm with each of us tag teaming and swapping. It's so fun...and chaotic! (Aly, it makes me think of you with twins! Bless you!)
* Lulu will sometimes bring Belle her pacifier. So cute! Other times she wants to take her pacifier. It's a moment by moment teaching deal with the whole sister deal!
* Belle is sleeping well! Again, the reflux is causing lots of grunts and lots of laundry with the burp cloths!
* Shay and I are loving the thought of how these 2 prayerfully will be the best of friends. The sharing rooms, the matching outfits, the silly girl faces, the laughter in the morning...oh the years of memories to come!
* Lulu is eating just normal food now...like mom and dad! It's so great!
* Lulu is still napping 2 times a day! Woohoo! I'm sure the morning nap will soon be gone.
* Belle and Lulu weighed the exact same weight (8 lbs & 1.8 oz) and length (22 in) when they were born! Crazy!
* Dr. Neimoth delivered Belle. She was so great (although we missed Dr. McCall) and we just were so thankful!
* My parents and Shay's parents saved the day by watching Lulu while we were at the hospital!
* Ang and Katie (aka the best neighbors ever) saved the day by sleeping at our house when we had to leave for the hospital.

We are just loving life as we learn a new baby girl and continue to love our first one! We have the BEST community of friends that have brought meals and are just the BEST! We can't wait for Christmas (although it will be a bit hectic with traveling...8 hour car ride...why not?) and family time!
