So much to share...

Hello dear friends and family,
Goodness, I have been quite the pathetic blogger. I so apologize. With K2 summer 2009 beginning for us that most likely means less blogging...much less. But I also want you to be able to stay connected to us (especially far away family) during such an exciting time in our family. Sadly, I have no pictures to share right now because I can't find my camera battery charger...ugg! I just spent another 15 minutes looking. Things like this drive me bonkers!

Okay, so updates...Shay is doing such an AMAZING job out at K2. I mean reallly incredible. The staff love him and he is such a humble, authentic, and strong leader. I respect him so much and love love love doing ministry alongside of him. He has a awful looking finger right now. The nail is all black and bruised. He dropped a rail road tie (spelling not sure?) on it last week and it is pretty horrific looking. At our last check up my doctor ended up asking how his injury was...it stands out. All in all he is great. We both are tired but that is expected till our bodies adjust to the "kamp" schedule...which is 6:30 am till midnight...running as hard and fast as you can physically, spiritually, and mentally...I'm exhausted just typing it!

I am also feeling and doing great. I was very tired at first when I started going full days in kamp mode but have adjusted. I am still completely in awe of my job and the ministry. There is always a sad time that I walk through when we move out to K2. I miss my friends so very much during the summer as we are all at different kamps directing and this year was no different. Now, it could have just been hormones or whatever but I was just more sad this year not to see my friends basically for 4 months as we walk through this season of life. My heart is better now as I have gotten going with Staff Training Week with 180 staff gals that are here; but still have moments of missing them.

The baby is doing great! He/She is growing and our last check up (which was May 27) the heartbeat was 150, I believe. I got weighed and measured and we heard the heartbeat. I must admit we both had somewhat fears of right as we are going in of the 'what ifs' of pregnancy. It is always a relief and praise to the Lord moment when you hear that beat going so strong! Our doctor, who is an incredible Godly woman and doctor, told us that our next appointment we will find out the sex of the baby...BOY OR GIRL?? We can't wait to find out so we can truly start praying specific qualities over this child...oh, we just are so excited to find out and we will share as soon as we can! The appointment is July 1...woohoo!!

We would love your continued prayers for our marriage, our baby, and our ministry. In that exact order! The summer is a crazy time, really fun crazy time. We always pray that we would cling to the Lord first, then our marriage, then ministry to K2 kids and staff. Every summer we walk away thankful for that and this summer I know won't be different. I have an amazing husband who fights each day to love the Lord, then me, and then his ministry. So thankful for that!

I'll try and post pics soon! We love you all!!
