Goodness, it has been awhile. Shay and I are so consistent with our Kanakuk blogs (www.shayrobbins.org & www.kanakukashley.com) but when it comes to our blog for our close friends and family it seems to get the short end of the stick. So here is our update.
Kamp Update:
We moved out to K2 on Sunday. For some of you who might be confused by what that means...we live in Branson, MO where the Kanakuk Director's offices are located. Then all the directors for 4 months (mid May-mid August) move out to there respective kamps. For Shay and I that means K2. That is out in Lampe, MO. (Our mailing address does not change...just fyi...for Shay's Birthday cards...don't forget July 17th). So we have moved out to our cabin at K2 and we love it out here. I had a brief (possible preggo hormonal) cry the other night as I just miss my friends for these 4 months...jennifer in the office, janers, brapp and our workouts, sparks' grillouts, and so many others...literally...ang, melissa, trish, callie, susan, cyndi (although she's at K2), katie hurst, and again I'm sure I'm forgetting so many! Anyways, I cried and Shay was so great to just hold my hand and listen. It was over as we headed to Taco Bell last night in Berryville, AR Wal-mart! Oh the life!
Baby Robbins Update:
I am continually feeling great. I am almost 12 weeks and the only thing I can tell is that I am very tired. My energy is really zapped...like I'm ready for bed at 9 pm and I had a nap that day! I feel like I am for sure showing...not enough to capture on camera though. We tried and they just weren't great to tell. I just sort of look like I've packed on some weight. I keep hearing of the "honeymoon" 2nd tri-mester and I'm praying my energy kicks back in. It falls perfectly in timing with kamp months. Thank you Jesus! Otherwise doing great! We have our next appointment on May 27th. Just a check up for all I know.
Tonight Update:
This really isn't an update...just a what we did tonight. Well, Shay Robbins tonight wanted to grill a steak on the grill down at the K2 dock. Now mind you we have no plates, forks, knives out here...well, the kitchen was locked so we didn't have them. Anyways, so we headed to the K2 dock. The pictures tell the story...

So there is life...in a nutshell! Please write/email/blog to stay in touch. I am going to do my best to keep it up-to-date as baby robbins grows. We find out the sex in about 2 months! Woohooo!
