The Flu has Arrived...

Well even as I type this Lulu and I are still recovering and not totally 100%. This week Shay got the flu on Sunday before vacation (March 10) and was down for 4 days. He was miserable! He got on tamiflu and then on Wednesday (we were going to leave Wednesday night for Gulf Shores) Lulu began a temp that escalated fast! She was so miserable but so cutely miserable! We went to our amazing pediatrician, Dr. Butler, and she got everyone on tamiflu (besides mommy because of nursing) and confirmed it was the flu. So we got in the swagger van on Thursday morning for a 14 hour drive to Gulf Shores, Alabama. About 2 hours into the trip I felt it...chills and fever and aches. Yep, mommy got it too! I kept taking Tylenol for the fever but otherwise just forced through the misery. I laid in the back of the van and just prayed Belle and Knox wouldn't get it (thank you Jesus and tamiflu).

Shay and I both thought vacation could be a long week of sickness...but truly when we woke up Friday morning to the beach and waves we were all pretty healthy! Woohoo! We were so thankful!!
