May...

Where to even begin...May feels like years ago. I fear my sweet family that I will always be somewhat backtracking for summer months for our blog books. Please forgive me in advance. Summer is oh-so-fun, but doesn't lend much time to blogging. We are going to do our best and remember life...

The Sisters:
Oh, our sweet girls! May is a bit of "transition" for you all. We get life packed up, dad moved out early to K2 to start Uncle Week, and we moved a bit later. You transitioned to K2 really well. Belle, I kept you in your moses basket and Lulu you got your own room. We finally had a play room for the kidsitter and you two to play the day away. We felt so blessed by our little cabin out at camp. Lulu is warming up more and more to being a big sister and realizing that Belle is an actual person...it's amazing to watch her. Lulu is pretty protective of Belle. When people come up and touch Belle, she quickly puts her hand on her like she wants you to know that is her sister. It's so great!

Lulu...18 months:
You are our little explorer. You are still a bit cautious but love to explore when given open land to do so. Kamp is great for this. You have loved pushing your blue walkie (Thanks Uncle Michael!) deal all over the tennis courts! You are still taking your morning nap (sometimes you just play, sing and sleep for a bit...just depends on your fancy that day) and a great afternoon napper. You are just a great sleeper! You seem to like the cabin and you are learning how to kick the ball and "run." It's precious! You put your head down and it just looks like you are very much concentrating. I can't remember what words you were saying that I didn't type in April but: mama, dadda, nana, bath, please, and I'm not sure what else...for just this month.

Belle...6 months:
You are our little kicker! You kick when you are on your belly which is quite a bit since you are sitting up now pretty much on your own. Then you decide you want a toy so you push forward and end up getting yourself some belly time! You love watching everything Lulu does and as most babies everything goes in your mouth. Sweet Belle, you are transitioning pretty good. You are napping good but not quite sleeping the whole time. You sweetly lay there and just play with your blankie, hands and eat your feet. You are starting foods and struggling to figure out that whole tongue-swallowing thing. It's pretty comical! I think more food comes out than in. You'll get it! We promise. Your 6 month check up was good...you have dropped on your weight curve but hopefully you are just readjusting yourself...we are praying for a bit more weight gain in the next few months.

Camp season is soon to be starting. This will be another transition with going from 1 baby girl to 2 baby girls at kamp and also going from full time mom (literally BEST job ever) to full time mom 1st but assistant director 2nd. Shay and I hope we always balance life with keeping each other 1st, our kids 2nd and camp after that. Praying the Lord would keep our eyes focused on Him, our marriage and our 1st ministry being our family!

Pictures from May...

The card that Shay (and the girls) made me for Mother's Day.

We dedicated Belle at Woodland Hills. Belle and Ted B were quick buddies!

"Hey Belle, whatcha doin'?"

Precious face!

Love this! Pretty smile and great shot of her teeth!

hello beautiful child!

I found my thumb!

Belle doesn't really use this swing the way most babies do. She literally always ended up this way...so funny!

Sonic drink...first of many! too bad happy hour is during our naps or we would need to add sonic into the budget

matching sisters at k2. notice that belle is quite the spitter/yacker still...burp cloth and bib! always!

only a mother would want this in her blog book! i mean how did i catch this spit up so perfectly!

lulu had her first pretty bad fall at kamp...she rolled over a volleyball on the tennis courts. she was brave but hated it when we put ointment on it.

polka dot girls...love lulu's hand reaching for belle's.
summer clothes are so cute,
