Baby Belle...

Oh, our sweet Baby Belle. I wonder if that will stick...Baby Belle! I think I will call you this for your whole life! You, our sweet second born, were made for our family. You have fit perfectly with each day you are here. Here are your highlights for months 1 and 2. (Sidenote: I must admit I was a much better and more timely blogger with your older sister. Please know that I love you equally, I just simply had more time when it was just your sister and I. Your moments are still just as dear and I am flipping through my mind files now to remember all your sweet moments too!)

November 15, 2010 - January 15, 2010...You are 2 months old!
We can't believe how quickly 2 months has happened. You have a friend, sweet baby BH, that is just a few hours older than you so her mommy and I keep each other in mind as weeks keep adding up as you both grow. I love knowing you already have a godly friend in the making and prayerfully that you will get to grow up with. Oh, our community of friends is so rich sweet Belle. You are going to be in great company with friendships!

Your name: Belle means beautiful. We prayed that your outward beauty would be pale in comparison to the beauty of your heart and spirit. We pray the beauty of the Lord would resonate in all that you do. Channing means wise one. We pray that wisdom would always be on your lips in your relationships, decisions and leadership. So Belle Channing Robbins you are a beautiful wise one.

Highlights thus far...
* You are a great sleeper. In the womb you were given the looks of "this baby will be harder because your 1st was a good baby." Sorry about that! Once you were here you have proven all those nay-sayers wrong! You from the start have only woken up once in the night. About 3 or 4 am each night your mom and you get some good cuddle time. You are still waking up at this time and I am praying that stops soon. A straight nights sleep is a longing at this point for your momma...but I certainly can't complain!
* You nap great. You eat great, stay up for a bit and then dose off during our 3 hour cycles. Sometimes you dose hard (typically in the morning and once in the afternoon) and I think your "schedule" is sort of piecing itself together. Your mom sure loves schedules. They keep you two girls so happy and me a bit more sane as I can somewhat "plan" work, blogging, cleaning, cooking, etc.
* You are strong! I don't know if I just don't remember but your neck and head strength seems so strong. You are holding up your head and even your feet too...like a banana. You stretch long and tight and it's just so cute (usually related to your gas).
* Speaking of gas...we have coined you little squeeker (I have no idea how to spell "squeak...squeek). You are, when awake, grunting, squeeking, or making some sort of sound. Even while napping you are making noises though totally asleep.
* You love it when you can hear and "see" your big sister. You are starting to smile more and more and you light up when Lulu is around you. It always melts mom and dad's hearts.
* You, as of now, seem laid back, playful, and joyful. I can see Lulu being the leader and you just wanting to be with your sister, prayerfully also known as your best friend. I know you will be your own self, have your own spirit, and own passions. But I also pray you and Lulu will have the sweetest of friendship...I think I already see that you will.
* You are so loved. We get special time with you after Lulu goes down. We make funny faces and your respond back with coos that will melt the coldest of hearts. I love watching your eyes discover right now and your hands are starting to "unroll" from your tight womb fists. Your toe on one foot is a bit under the other two. It's super cute and I just love it. Your legs are a bit more "scrawny" than Lulu's were (she was a bit meatier) but you are in the 90% with height and weight. Woohoo! You are healthy our sweet Baby Belle.

We love you Baby Belle. We can't imagine our life and our home without you. You were formed with purpose and made for our family. You have such a purpose in being our daughter and sister to Lulu. You, sweet second born, are loved so very much. We pray each day to show you unconditional love so that you will know of Jesus through us. Oh, our hearts are all yours.

Sleeping Beauty Belle,
The Robbins' Nest
