Chicago...

Hey precious friends,
Goodness, Shay and I have just had a crazy fall. Some of it has been oh-so-fun and other moments have been oh-so hard. This post is on the oh-so fun moments! Shay was an amazing husband that was 100% all about me going on a girls trip before the baby arrived. It was a blast. My friends Rachel, Jennifer, and Bronwyn all headed to Chicago. We actually drove to St. Louis and boarded my first AmTrak train to Chicago. It was a blast. We just chatted, read, and chatted more. We had a great time. It really turned into a shopping trip at which point I realized I love just walking around a big city, getting some good steals of deals, and helping friends find super cute buys too! Here are some highlight pictures:
Jennifer, me, and Bronwyn on our first morning...
We walked to Oprah's studio on the off chance we could get in if no one showed. Well, wouldn't you know she was out of the country campaigning for Chicago to get the Olympics.
Jennifer, Rachel and Bronwyn at Oprah's store...which was closed at 7:30 am...bummer!
BUT, we found this awesome breakfast place called LePeep! This place had the best caramel apple cider. Rachel and I were lovin' it!
We went to an athletic store (in my pursuit of anything Chicago Bears) and found Mike Ditka's hands...well, concrete impressions of his hands. So this picture is for Shay really!
Could this be any more adorable? Baby Girl can't wear it till she is like 3 years old but it was on sale and too cute!
The famous Chicago sign...don't you think my photography looks like a postcard? :)
We were walking and came across these awesome fireworks! I captured a lot! So pretty in the city sky!
The 4 of us at dinner. It was delicious and super trendy!
This was the night we went and got some culture in our lives by watching the Miami City Ballet Company. It was very modern and I got some cool moves for K2 next summer.

It was such a blast to be with friends and to get-away a bit from Branson. I missed Shay like crazy as I am a pathetic wife away from him. He actually went and spoke at a retreat in Lake of the Ozark for 2nd Baptist in Springfield, MO. The church has a thriving college ministry in which the students are really leading and really walking out their faith to their friends. Shay loved it and I know he brought the Word during the weekend.
