It's a Boy...Oh, and I'm Pregnant!

 Well, again it's November 2012 and I'm trying to blog backwards...time wise. So I guess last February we found out we were expecting baby #3. The story of this baby is one that I feel like could be a novel but for the blog I simply will say I hope my journal from this season is kept safe to retell this story. A story of God's remembrance and faithfulness. A story of a God turning His ear to the deepest desire of my heart...to have a boy.

Knox Samuel you are a gift from Jesus. We are praying qualities over you already: humble warrior, compassionate, leader, secure and not afraid to stand alone...honestly though my prayer as your mommy is that you will simply be just like your daddy! That covers a multitude of the qualities I could pray over you.

1 Samuel will always be a very special book to me. Always. My heart and my quiet times were consumed in this book from July 2011 till May 2012 when I heard the ultrasound tech say it's a boy. I don't know why I needed her voice when I had already heard from the Lord that this little one was you, Knox. I have prayed this prayer over 3 things and continue to do so...

"Making a vow, she pleaded, Lord Almighty, if you will look upon your servant's affliction, remember and not forget me, and grant your servant a son, I will give him to you all the days of his life." ~ 1 Samuel 1:11

Remember...meaning the Lord steps in and acts graciously upon our behalf. Miraculous act.
