November 2011...

Thankful, Thankful, Thankful! November was a thankful month. We are so thankful for Jesus and the relationship we have. We are thankful for our family of 4 robbins. We are thankful for the community and friends we have. We LOVE our jobs and the ministry we get to be a part of. Lord, we know all good things come from You.

We traveled this month to Memphis for camp stuff and then Shay headed with Todd Rapp to Nashville and Atlanta. We missed him tons but had a good week at home. Belle turned 1 on the 15th and so for a week we had 2, 1 year olds. It was fun. Lulu turned 2 on Thanksgiving so we celebrated both birthdays that weekend (more to come).

BELLE, our sweet secondborn:
You are a 1 year old. NOOOOO! I want my baby back! (that sounds like a bad pop music lyric from Justin Bieber). Here are all your stats my sweet girl:
Newborn:
20" inches (you were 22" inches when you were born...not sure how you shrunk?)
7 lbs. 10 oz. (this was your week check up)
2 Months:
23.5" inches
12 lbs. 4 oz.
4 Months:
25.5" inches
14 lbs. 9 oz.
6 Months:
26.5" inches
14 lbs. 15 oz.
9 Months:
27.5 inches
17 lbs. 6.5 oz.
Sweet Belle, we haven't gotten your 12 month check up. It's coming soon! You are a squealer, you move all your toes and feet all the time. You are super fast at crawling. You love to pull Lulu's hair and love to pull her to the ground. You love food and love to be held. You sleep great at night and good during the day. You suck your thumb just like Lulu and you also love the minksy fabric and every time you come in contact with that hypnotic fabric that thumb goes straight to your mouth. You don't love the car seat and you pull off any socks I try and put on you. You chew on everything, want to walk so badly, and laugh so hard. You love adventure and being thrown into the bean bag. You get giddy when we tickle your inner thighs, armpits, under your neck, and feet...really anywhere. Your hair is super light blonde and I think it's going to be thick like your mommy's. You have fair skin and sweet blue eyes...you will melt hearts. You have already melted ours.

LULU, our precious firstborn:
You are a 2 year old this month. I love your stage. You are learning, learning and learning. I can't get over it. I love playing and this month you have really began to use your creativity and imagination...I can just see it in your eyes. Here are all your stats from the year (and maybe last year too):
Newborn:
22" inches
8 lbs. 2 oz.
(I can't currently find our 2 month check up...oops!)
4 Months:
26 1/4" inches
13 lbs. 13 oz.
6 Months:
25 3/4" inches (we switched doctors so maybe it was a bit off)
15.7 lbs.
9 Months:
27 3/4" inches
18 lbs.
12 Months:
29" inches
20 lbs. 6.5 oz.
15 Months:
30.5" inches
21 lbs. 5 oz.
18 Months:
31.5" inches
23 lbs. 5 oz (or something close...they marked these and didn't write...oops!)
Precious Lulu, you are just sugar in bodily form! You are the best big sister I have ever seen. You absolutely love Belle. If you ever do knock her over or something like that you immediately know you hurt her and rush to her, hug her, and say "sorry" without much prompting from us. It's so tender. You love ELMO. You love singing. I guess at church with Mrs. Bobette and Mr. Parrish you dance and love it when music time comes. I am glad you do something in there besides eat the snacks...you love the snacks. When you wake from naps you want a "yummy" which is usually pretzels, raisins, or the past day a half of a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin. You play "tea" all the time now with your new table and tea pot (more on this). You love to push your stroller and baby doll. You still are obsessed with reading. I have to tell you that it's play time so that Belle doesn't get ignored b/c you would sit and listen to books all day. You like to hold my hand in the car which lends to my arm being a bit tired after trips. You love finding hippos in books. When you see an animal or baby asleep in books you stick your finger to your mouth and say "shh. nigh, nigh." 100% precious! You love putting on shoes and especially your new boots from Nana and Poppy. You love water but it must have ICE. You like sauces, A1, mustard, etc on your veggies now. We have to remind you to eat the veggie or you will just lick the veggie of the sauce. You are out of the time out stage for now as you honestly are quick to realize you want to calm down and not have to go to time out. You learn pretty fast and you have learned that tantrums don't get much attention. For that I am very thankful. You know when we run errands at 10 am after naps that I have "yummy" in my diaper bag. You are growing and you are the perfect firstborn for us.

So Many Thanks,
the robbins' nest

could this be any cuter...
Thanks Jill for the sippy cup. She loves it.  Yes, it's afternoon and yes, they are still in pj's.
Her hair is pretty hysterical most days.
Hey there teeth!
beautiful wise one.
yummy time.
Sweet Belle, you give kisses with mouth wide open to any part of the face. Love!
Joy of Life!
Why wouldn't you wear a Wonder Woman costume (Thanks Rach!) and an owl hat!
Lulu loves to say "wide" which means "ride." We do rug rides and diaper box rides. They love them.
