Home. I feel like September is about home. Kamp is truly done. Our traveling schedule hasn't started and we just kind of nuzzle (is this a word?) in to our couch and try not to leave. I am a total homebody and Shay is somewhat of one. He likes home. The girls LOVE home. For now girls I get to type what I think you love and so therefore I think you LOVE home.
LULU: You are 22 months old. I must admit I am ready for you to be officially 2 so that I can be done with "months." I'm just not very good at the whole month thing. You are adding words every so often. This month you are now saying: more, you announce to the car hooome, and biz. Biz...this is hysterical. You will go around the dinner table and say, "dadda, momma, wuwu (this is lulu) and biz." Biz is now the official nickname (only wuwu can use this nickname. it will not be launching to the general public) of older sister to younger sister. You say dadda during lunch time, even if he isn't there because you know he usually is. You still adore shoes. You let me put pigtails in your hair with no problem. You are still eating awesome-ly. You love snacks...welch's fruit snacks are the fav. Also you love the yogurt bites that melt in your mouth. Daddy and I have tasted them and 100% disagree with your love of them. You untied a bow on this book set so carefully (today actually) pulling each ribbon so gently. It was just amazing to watch. You adore being big sister. You love on Belle by your own accord. It melts our hearts. You literally could "read" for hours and hours. You love books. Oh, you say "read" now. You are still doing 2 naps...i had a great friend/mom email me asking how I transitioned to 1 nap since you are almost 2. I giggled because you just still sleep then too. We play so hard I guess you need your sweet rest. You laugh so hard these days. There is so much joy that just oozes from you when you are all giggly. You are our precious firstborn.
BELLE: You are 10 months old. It has happened so fast but yet I think you are so wanting to be caught up with Lulu that it causes me to look ahead too much. I am trying to get more just you and mommy time during the day (and in the past 5 days around 4 am). You are so fun. You are crawling everywhere and love to put everything in that mouth of yours. You have super blonde hair and it feels a bit more thick than your sisters. It's already so much more than Lulu had at this point. Your eyes are so deeply blue. You are pulling up in your crib/pack-n-play. Really you are pulling up on everything. I think you so badly just want to go, walk, and be with your big sister. You are so spirited...you can pull your sister down to the ground, you can squeal really loudly, and you "cry" to get mom to come in and pick you up. 5 days ago you started waking up at 4 am. Random. You are a pretty good sleeper and are really getting your nap schedule down now. But oddly you have started waking up. I read my baby 411 book and discovered it's normal for around 9 months for them to wake up again. Ugg...i'm praying this is a quick stage. Belle, you awake, sit straight up and want momma. I come in and snuggle you, change diaper, and now have started moving you to your "nap room" (the extra room). I'm pretty fast at it and then Belle decides if she wants to sleep or fuss (I say fuss b/c she isn't really crying. the first night I continued to go in and i would pick you up, automatically go to sleep on my shoulder and then if I moved an inch towards your crib you would scream). So your momma has you figured out. She wants me to come in so we are drawing a parent vs. belle wrestling match. We will win. She is just so spirited but yet laid back. She will play with toys and watch Lulu or just stand up holding on to the toy bin. She always needs to be close to me (which I don't mind) and she will attack Lulu. By attacking she literally pulled out a large handful of hair today at tj maxx. Lulu starts screaming randomly and I look at Belle's hand and she has a handful of blonde hair. I felt awful that I didn't catch Belle's hand. Lulu was just priceless and it had to hurt so badly...sorry Lulu. Bad mom moment! Try explaining that Belle doesn't understand to a 22 month old who barely understands sentences. You are such a sweet baby. You laugh, you mimic Lulu, you mimic us, you fuss if you aren't involved in the action but yet can play by yourself, you love food...even when you fuss you just do it, I truly believe, because you want to be doing EVERYTHING that you see Lulu doing. You can almost get out of the bumbo. You are just such a sweet, fun baby. You are our sweet secondborn.

oh, nana and poppa d...you spoke to her heart by buying these. she doesn't like to wear them b/c they flash and therefore i think she thinks they are toys. |
