Christmas Parties...

Christmas Parties have been in full force! This month has been so fun as we have had lots of great fellowship with great friends!! We have been so reminded this month of the amazing community of friends we are surrounded by daily!

We had our small group Christmas party. I have no great pictures of the group but the one above is from that night. The Howards, Farleys, and Slagters are near and dear to us as we live life and share deeply each time we meet. I have loved the deepening of friendships as we have been a group for, I think, 3 years now. Wow! We just sat around our table, talked and laughed tons! We always have to play a guys vs. girls game and this year it was Taboo. GIRLS WON!

Next up we had our K2 Branson Party. This was at my dear friend Trish's house and we had all the K2 folks over. It was so great! We have several in the Kanakuk Institute and then the local K2 staff in town. I love the family feel that comes when you work together at some crazy summer camp. Shay and I just love being with them. We took the girls so it was a bit crazy to actually get to fellowship but I think Shay and I are learning sometimes our impact now will be just being a family in front of staff...hopefully won't make family look too crazy!

We also had a Women's Directors Christmas Party (again at Trish's...she's quite the hostess!) where we had a KA-RAAAZY game of the Dirty Santa (or White Elephant). It was AWESOME! Some of my favorite memories happen each year during this game as *some* (no names to be mentioned) get competitive. It was so fun, funny and memory filled! I left with an iTunes gift card which is perfect since I am wanted to download some of the *Sing Off* songs from this season. Anyways, I came home from that party very full of laughter and love knowing I have the best girlfriends in the world! I also came home knowing Shay and I work for the best 2 people in the world! Truly!

Last but not least we decked ourselves out in fancy shoes and cardigans with sparkle (me, not Shay) for the Kanakuk Christmas Party! This is always a highlight! This year the party fell on our Anniversary (4 Years! Woohoo!) and we had a blast! There is GREAT food, surrounded by the Kanakuk Ministry, and in awe of the Lord's grace in our personal lives. It was such a rich night of being together as a ministry. I cried, laughed and LOVED being out with Shay. Thanks Grammy for watching the girlies!

So that has been just the beginning of Christmas celebrations...this week we start the road trips to see both sides of our families! 8 hour road trip with a 1 year old and 4 week old...why not?! Haha!

MERRY CHRISTMAS,
The Robbins' Nest
