Lots of First's...

Oh, Summer where are you going? We feel as if you are flying by! The summer has been so refreshing, rejuvenating, humbling, and blessed. Shay and I are still in awe of how fast the summer is going but also so very smoothly! It is July 6th and we are done August 12 with our summer season and we just can't believe it. Our prayer recently has been that each day we would soak in each moment and not let it be a check off to get through the day but to live in each day.

Lulu is just awesome. We cannot get over how strong and amazing she is getting with each day. She is changing quickly now right before our eyes every day.

Sweet precious firstborn...you are 7 months old now. Here are the new things you are up to our Lucy Lu!
* You are moving and shaking and showing your personality with each new day.
* You are now rolling back and forth with every chance you get.
* You have your first 2 teeth pushing through the bottom and you really haven't been the "fussy teething baby" that I was prepared for. Truly Lulu your "fussiness" is probably normal but you are just a laid back little one.
* You don't like to show your teeth but you love grinding, rubbing, or putting everything up against them.
* You eat anything...you have gone through squash, peas, broccoli, avocado, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, bananas, and applesauce. She's a healthy eater! The green veggies she makes some comical faces!
* Your favorite toy right now is plastic water bottles, tags on toys, and sunglasses off of mom and dad's face. You are reaching for everything in sight and starting to "wave"...well, at least your version of waving.
* You are moving on the floor on your tummy. You aren't crawling but you are lifting all the way up on your arms and the other night you lifted totally on your arms and your feet, like a little pre-push up pose.
* This morning the syllables "maw-me" came out of your mouth. Our sweet babysitter thinks Lulu knew she was saying 'mommy' but I think the sounds just happened to be said together. Either way, it melted my heart!
* You are pretty much still bald...sorry little one!
* You are sleeping amazingly...8 am -10 am for your morning nap and 2 pm - 4 pm for your afternoon nap. Then you are off to bed at 7:30 pm-ish and you sleep till 6 or 7 am. Thank you Lulu for being a great sleeper! You are such a happy baby and I know a factor is that you are sleeping so well and soundly!
* You smile ALL THE TIME! Your laugh could melt any heart and make the worst day feel like the best!
* You LOVE both mommy and daddy but I am so thankful that there seems to be a special connection to your daddy. I can see you already melt and feel so secure when daddy has you. I love it so very much and feel as if the Lord heard our cry for you to be secure in the Lord and secure in your earthly daddy!

Sweet precious one, we love you so and continue to pray each day that your whole heart would love Jesus so much and that you would rest in our love for you. We also now have added that you and your new little sister will be the best of friends. You are not going to really "know" life without her and we pray you would be just the best of friends all through life.

7 months and wanting to PAUSE life already,
The Robbins' Nest

Lulu and I laughing at triathlete probably because all the campers are doing abs and we just are laughing..."oh, mommy, you are always pregnant...who needs abs!!" ~ Lulu

Robbins' Running Team...Shay always offers to push her but sometimes a preggo girl just wants an extra workout...trust me it's a rare day!

This is our Term 2 Babysitter...PHENOMENAL is her name!!! We have been so spoiled by BOTH terms of babysitters and would love prayer for who in the world can do Term 3???

Lu, you really are an amazing baby, it is not just your parents being biased, everyone else agrees with them! I miss your smiles and laughs, playing and reading with you! See you soon!
