What a day...a day to overabundantly say thanks to moms...our own, ourselves, and even strangers at church. It was a sweet day at the Robbins' Nest...sort of bittersweet. Today was so sweet as far as Mothers Days go...but bittersweet because we are packing our "kamp" gear to head out on Tuesday to move to K2.
But enough about packing...yuck! TODAY! We have a precious little alarm clock who just lays in her crib and just "chats" it up between her and her blankie. Super cute! So finally at 6:30 am...mom and dad popped out of bed. Trust me I am not complaining...the little precious one sleeps from 8 pm till 6 am...PTL! (Praise the Lord!) We called Nana (my momma!) at 7:45 am to wish her a Happy Mothers Day! Lulu doesn't talk much in the morning once we get her out of her crib. I truly love my mom...best in the world! So we did our normal routine of nursing, playing, and this morning bath time for Lulu! You see we had Baby Blessing this morning at church on Mothers Day. Woohoo! So Lulu was introduced with a handful of other little ones and prayed over. She was great on stage. She had her tongue out most of the time on stage (a new little trick) and her forgetful momma forgot a burp cloth and guess who thought it was a good spit up time...Lulu did! I probably exaggerate. It was super noticeable...but the tongue was very noticeable! So cute!
We headed over to Grammy & Poppa's house (Shay's folks) and my sister-in-law and I did lunch. Fried chicken, asparagus, garlic mashed taters, rolls, baked beans, and delish hot fudge cake for dessert! Yummy!!! We cooked for Susan, best momma b/c HELLO she raised an amazing son = Shay Robbins, and just had a great time with family.
The best part is coming...FAMILY NAP TIME! Ahhh!!! Yep, it was awesome! I felt like a new woman when I woke up! We then just played as a family and then the magic began. Shay cooked the most amazing meal for me. It was priceless! He made shrimp pasta/linguine stuff, stuffed portobello mushrooms, fresh green beans, and this kiwi/raspberry fruit dessert with chocolate drizzled over it. Are you kidding me? It was just so amazing. I fell more in love with the blessing of the man I get to call my husband...it just keeps getting better!
All in all...what a great, relaxing Mothers Day! It was our last weekend of "freedom" before K2 begins. I can't believe Summer is here! I am going to do my best to keep posting as much as I can...
Okay, also our camera is broken so pictures are limited right now...such a bummer! Hence no pictures from today. Sad day!
Many hugs from this mom to you,
The Robbins' Nest
p.s. Baby #2 update: all is well. please pray that my calcium and iron numbers stay at a great level so I can nurse Lulu as long as my dr. let's me. I am ready to get out of the 1st trimester and get my energy back. All in all...growing right along. Baby#2 heartbeat was 174 last time and all looked well. I am about 11 or 11.5 weeks along...or 12 weeks...umm...i forget! I'm pregnant what can I say!? :)
