Lulu, You are Half a Year Old...

Hey Family and Friends,
Well, I am so very sorry that it has been awhile (Lulu, as you read this someday...our camera is broken...still...ugg!...Anyone have an old digital camera for sale?). There is much to catch up on...
1. We moved out to K2 for the summer months. We have a precious cabin out here and they are building Lulu's (and her future little sister or brother) room right now. We are so thankful for our boss for blessing us with this addition to our house so we can have a bit more room.
2. Shay has done an incredible job with his guy staff. There are like 20 guys that come in early for "uncle week" to do the big jobs to get K2 ready for staff to come and get trained. Lulu and I for sure missed him at times as he is super busy but we still got our husband/dad time!
3. I am now 14 weeks along...I think. I gotta look at the calendar! I am hopefully going to start feeling my energy spike soon and I am very ready for that as K2 starts in 2 days with 400 kids coming for Term 1! My last appointment, last week, the heartbeat was 147 and all looked well. I think after you have your first one appointments are much shorter...like 10 minutes. Weigh, Measure, heartbeat check, next appointment time, and goodbye.

Lulu, You are Half a Year Old...
Our precious little girl!! You are just so much fun! Everyone at K2 (all the staff) literally think you never cry and are just the happiest baby on the earth. We prayed contentment, joy, security in the Lord and your dad, humility, and a whole heart for Jesus over you while you were still in mommy's belly and we see glimpses of those qualities already. You are so very joyful and content to just be with mom and dad, eating your toes on your play mat, swinging in your swing just a talkin', or playing with your new favorite toy -- a plastic water bottle. Here are new things in your world:

* You are rolling over from back to belly and belly to back.
* You are "talking" tons. You don't talk when there are a lot of folks around but with mom and dad you are just so expressive.
* You are "waving." I have been waving hi/bye to you and you have started to raise your hand and swivel it and open and close your fingers...it is so awesome to see you do it!
* Rice cereal is a favorite of yours...well, past the first bite. After a few bites you are just going to town.
* To let me know you want something, like my water bottle, you grunt repeatedly...hysterical!
* In the morning after nursing you lean your neck/head over to wait for dad who walks out of his office each morning. You LOVE your daddy and your mommy loves that!
* You are now going to bed around 7:30/8:00 pm each night and sleeping so great. We still sing to you, pray, and then place you in your crib. You never make a peep. We are so THANKFUL for this (especially since your daddy didn't sleep through the night till 7 months...yikes!)
* You put everything in your mouth.
* The other day you sort of put your knees under you and bounced as the beginnings of wanting to crawl.
* You have a new babysitter in your life. Emily Ellett is helping mommy for Term 1 to help love and care for you. It's been great and Emily has instantly jumped into our family! We are so blessed by her!

I think those are all the new things I can think of. Lulu, you are our precious little one. We love you more and more each day. Mommy and Daddy are soaking up each "stage" as you continue to learn and grow each day. We love you so much!

Happy 1/2 Birthday to Lulu,
The Robbins' Nest

Hanging with Daddy! Look how strong that girl is! Not sure why her burp cloth and her sleeper are tucked under Shay's chin like that! Hehe!

Sorry about the white flash blur in this picture. But otherwise she is so very cute in this pic. I forget what she was playing with that mesmorized her so.
