Week 12...

Lulu, You're 3 months old!
Oh, our sweet girl, you are 3 months old! I already just want to pause you but know that each day is filled with sweet new moments and stages for you. I hope I remember every little detail about you (hence why I blog so much about you). Well, you have really continued to get so much stronger. Your neck is holding your head longer and your hands are not so clinched anymore. Oh, I clipped your nails for the first time this week. You love to rub your face, like all the time sweetie, and so mom has to keep them very short so you don't scar your precious face. It's like you have no pain tolerance on your face. You have gotten into quite a routine. Here is what your days look like:

6:30/7:00 pm: Awaken/Change/Feed. You have precious smiles in the morning. Oh, we moved you to your baby crib from your newborn basket. You have done great. We only had 1 night where mom was up till 2 am with the monitor glued to her heart...praying.

7:30 am: Playtime with Dad. He would say squat workouts with dad. It is priceless time that I watch your dad just melt with you. He is so tender with you and makes you laugh a lot. You are very expressive during this time.

8:00 am: We all leave for work. You tend to start to get tired on the way and usually fall asleep during this time and nap till 11 am.

11:00 am: Wake to feed. You start to stir and right when you wake up you are a hungry girl.

11:30 am: You play on the floor and discover your hands and your mouth. You like some alone time in the morning and so mom finishes work in the office.

12:30 pm: We head home and you play a bit longer with dad or sit with us at the table. Then usually go to your swing (Thanks Melissa & Matt!). You sleep so well in that swing. You love seeing yourself in the fishbowl mirror above you. You usually sleep till 2 pm.

2:00 pm: Feeding time! You are a great eater! I am so very thankful for that!

2:30 pm: Play time and bouncer! You love being in your bouncer or in my lap as I finish work from home.

3:30/4:00 pm: Go for a walk. We always walk our neighborhood (weather dependent) or I do the 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels as you just watch and giggle! I usually bundle you up and tent you in your stroller (thanks Graco and Term 1 staff). We love this time together as you are up for the 1st half then drift to sleep. We pray together, sing, and just have a good ole time.

4:30 pm: Come home and finish your nap or awake to play...depends on the day.

5:15/5:30 pm: Feed. Yummy. Dad gets home and you light up! Woohoo Daddy time!

6:00 pm: Play time/Family time. Dad usually is missing you so much and immediately wraps you in his arms. You hang with us while we get dinner going and then stay up or take a little 30-45 minute nap.

8:30 pm: Last feeding.

8:50 pm: Family time on the couch. We play and laugh and dad and I stare at you. We talk about our day and continue to watch the Olympics. You love the Olympics!

9:30/9:45 pm: We get kisses from daddy and then we head to your room. I sing you a song (sometimes an original Lulu song) and pray that the Lord would guard your crib and give you sweet sweet dreams. You lay down and then you drift to sleep perfectly every night...just kidding. The night goes several different directions...awake, then peacefully falls asleep till the next morning OR awake, cries for 10 minutes, falls asleep till the next morning OR awake, cries for 10 minutes, replace pacifier, sleep, pacifier falls out, cries, replace and asleep for the night. PRAISE THE LORD for your little spirit that caught on fast to day/night hours.

Then sweet girl we awake and do it all again...oh how we love you. I hear you breathing right now through your monitor. I am so thankful for you. I am now typing with tears as I just love you my littlest beauty!

Your mommy,
The Robbins' Nest

p.s. Jill, this was for you. We talked about schedules so here is Lulu's.

There is just something too funny about tennis shoes on precious Lulu's little feet. Guess she's gearing up for Triathlon specialty ;)
