Sweet Vacation...

Hey Strangers!
Goodness, the word normalcy is still being defined in the Robbins' nest! It is so great and still a little strange to have normalcy. We finished up at K2 on August 12th after a different summer...flu, flu, and more flu! At one point, and then many points after that, we just had to laugh through this crazy summer of Germ-X everywhere, flu "bombs", awesome kampers and parents about being sent home and everything in between. I came to a point where I wasn't
asking God "why are we still getting hit with this germ?" But I began to ask "okay, Lord, what do we need to learn from this crazy thing, cuz it is here to stay?"

We still, through managing an exponential nurses station, had some unbelievable stories of life
change. We did our CrossTalk for our Term 3 kiddos and we had 53 kiddos surrender their lives to the Lord. WOW! It was so what we all needed to be reminded God was still at work...even in the midst of the flu bug! It was awesome!

Shay and I are now on vacation. We moved back to Branson, MO...headed to Kevin and Chelsea Harrison's wedding (SO PRICELESS!)...worked for a week...now are at a dear family's house
that opens up their lake home to us! What a blessing they are! We love it! It's quiet, beautiful
and a warm home. We are only on day 2 and we have just relaxed, read lots of books, watched movies, cooked deliciousness, and just gotten great time together! It's been so great.

So there is life...in a small nutshell! I'll do a baby update post in a second...we will be calling a lot of you soon to catch up after falling off the face of the earth for 4 months!

Be awesome & love Jesus,
Shay & Ashley & Baby Girl

Here are pictures of the summer/Kev's Wedding/etc:
Shay speaking at the Term 3-6 closing to parents and kampers. He is so AWESOME at this job!
Our annual summer director shots for the website and brochures for Kanakuk.
Kevin Harrison and Shay at Kev/Chelsea's Wedding. We are like #1 fans of Kevin Harrison!
Shay and I at the wedding with the centerpiece picture of them. We weren't sure we would get to see them before we headed out. Not sure why I look like I'm semi-growling :)
The Kanakuk bunch at the wedding (minus Don Ford who had just taken off). Chelsea was beautiful and that is Erica Rentschler (so giddy engaged to Jeff...precious!) and Quinton Fischer. Love our K2 family!
