Where did March go...

Does anyone else feel like March just disappeared? I literally don't feel like March even happened. We have had a great month of fun retreats and times with friends. Shay has been busy with 45 small groups (just kidding, it's just 4), running, and tackling his lengthy to-do list for K2. I am loving working out 3 times a week with 2 sweet friends, writing a Bible study for the K2 girls this summer, and watching American Idol (my Aunt Pat and I text the entire time!). Otherwise we are gearing up for summer 2009 and it feels like it is starting tomorrow. We also are about to have another weekend retreat with our K2 Leadership Team. Then we head to Atlanta, GA for vacation! We are going to a lake house of a kamp family. They were gracious to open it up to us! I can't wait to just get great, secluded, and adventurous time with the coolest husband in the whole world! Here are some pics from the month...

we love you all,
shay & ashley
Shay took Nick and Blake (his brothers) camping...well, sort of. They got rained on all night long and finally came home the next morning. My friend, Jane Harrison, went and got makeovers at Sephora and bought BareMinerals. It was a ton of fun, but we both got home and took it all off because the "professionals" just put it on so thick. We had the honor of going to eat with David & Jill Jones. Jill was my first co-counselor at K2 back in 2000. Dave and Jill actually were a big reason that Shay and I even went on a 1st date! They are dear friends!!!! We have walked through a lot of the same life paths...and continue to cross paths which is so cool how the Lord works! They just moved to Virginia and we already miss them so much! Good thing is that we text quite a bit!
Such dear friends!!!
Shay and Dave...the men in our lives! Great friends!

Ashley...I love following your life through your blog. You are such a neat gal with God's handprints all over you. I cannot imagine how hard it is to have your husband leave every morning to lead bible studies for kids. My son is one of those kids and it means the world to me that Shay is there to pour into his life. Thank you for being so selfless and sacrificing bacon and eggs with Shay everyday. Jewels in Heaven, my friend. Lots and lots of them await you. Love love love.
